Worship services update for August 2020

Dear Calvary Family,

First of all, I want to thank you for being willing to rotate your worship service attendance, or to worship with us virtually for these past few months. It certainly hasn't been ideal, but I'm thankful that we've had the at-home or in-person options available to us. I have pastor-friends in other states whose congregations still don't have those options; they either gather virtually or not at all!

I'm excited to finally be able to announce some positive news to you! Our sanctuary seating is still set at 25% of the room capacity, resulting in not being able to invite our whole congregation to a single service. So, starting this Sunday, August 2, we will be hosting two in-person Sunday morning worship services. The service times will be 9 and 10:30 am. Also, we are no longer doing a last-name rotation! So, as long as you're willing to follow our in-service guidelines, then you're welcome to join us weekly at either one of the Sunday services. If you're in a high-risk health category, are uncomfortable with our guidelines, or just aren't ready to be in a group setting, then I hope you'll continue to join us virtually. We'll keep streaming the 10:30 am service live each week. Here's a link to the virtual service.

Another exciting announcement is that we'll be hosting Children's Church for the 10:30 am service! We'll be providing age-appropriate Bible instruction for ages 4 thru 10 years old in a fun, safe, and sanitary environment. Please review our Children's Church Guidelines so that you know what to expect. We will not be staffing a Nursery or Preschool room. However, we will be providing specific spaces in our building for parents to take their little ones to play, while still being able to watch the service. Please review our Nursery-Toddler Guidelines here. There will be no Children's Church or Nursery-Preschool spaces available at the 9 am service.

Church, I hope that you'll be encouraged by the options available to you. Special thanks to those who have stepped up to help to make these ministries happen! If you are interested in being a part of our Greeting Team, Sanitizing Team, or would like to serve in any other capacity, please fill out this form. Remember, God's strength is made perfect in our weakness!

Grace and peace to you!

Pastor Daniel
